Job summary

Medtronic Galway is seeking engineers to build platforms that enable clinicians and partners to access critical medical device data securely and at scale.

You will work on data export/access capabilities, delivering data in XML and FHIR formats and integrating across healthcare systems using cloud-native services. This role requires strong C#/.NET skills, SQL expertise, and experience with Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of professional software development, or 2 years with an advanced degree.
• Experience delivering software using C# and .NET.
• Experience building and deploying solutions in AWS cloud.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git/JFrog for source control.
• Strong SQL database development experience.
• Willing to participate in an on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• As part of the Cerberus team, this role builds and supports the platforms that make critical medical device data accessible to clinicians, health systems, and external partners.
• The position focuses on Data Export and Data Access capabilities, delivering clinical data in industry-standard formats such as XML and FHIR to enable secure, reliable integration across healthcare systems.
• Engineers design and develop cloud-based services, APIs, data pipelines, and microservices using C#, .NET, Java, SQL, AWS, Kubernetes, and Kafka, with emphasis on scalability and reliability.
• Success requires collaboration across engineering, product, and QA teams and a purpose-driven mindset for near real-time data delivery to support decision-making.
