MCS Group is partnering with an innovative software company to appoint an experienced Software Architect to shape a cloud-native SaaS platform. The role centers on defining architectural vision, standards and a scalable, secure platform for growth.

You will lead architectural decisions, mentor engineers and influence technology choices across frontend, backend, data and cloud domains. This is a hybrid Dublin-based opportunity.

Qualifications

• Proven track record delivering cloud-native SaaS platforms.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems and patterns.
• Strong experience with microservices and architectural governance.
• Ability to define standards and influence across teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the platform architecture for a modern cloud-native SaaS application.
• Define the long-term technical vision and architectural roadmap.
• Design scalable, resilient and secure distributed systems.
• Lead architecture across application, cloud, integration and data.
• Establish engineering standards, design principles and governance.
• Mentor engineers and guide architectural trade-offs.
• Champion modern engineering practices including DDD and microservices.
• Drive performance, reliability, observability and operational excellence.
• Contribute to AI strategy and responsible integration opportunities.
