MCS Group is partnering with a Dublin-based software company hiring a Software Architect to guide the next generation of a cloud-native SaaS platform. The role involves setting architectural standards, driving scalability, security and resilience, and influencing engineering teams across multiple disciplines.

You will shape long-term technical direction, work with leadership, and have a significant say in technology choices while mentoring senior engineers and ensuring robust platform governance.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and delivering cloud-native SaaS platforms.
• Excellent AWS architecture experience.
• Strong background in distributed systems and microservices.
• Knowledge of modern software architecture patterns.
• Ability to influence engineering teams without direct line management.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture of a modern cloud-native SaaS platform.
• Define the longer-term technical vision and architecture roadmap.
• Design scalable, secure and resilient distributed systems.
• Lead architecture across application, cloud, integrations and data.
• Set engineering standards and architecture principles.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Product on major technical decisions.
• Mentor senior engineers and raise the technical bar.
