Job summary

Kiltipper Woods Care Centre invites applications from an experienced Registered Nurse for the role of Clinical Nurse Manager 1 (CNM1). The CNM1 will work within the MDT to support the ADON/DON and PIC, delivering person-centred care on the designated unit and overseeing daily clinical practice.

The successful candidate will have 4 years post-qualification experience, be registered with NMBI, and demonstrate strong leadership, governance, and communications skills.

Qualifications

• Registered General Nurse with active NMBI registration.
• Minimum 4 years post-qualification experience.
• CPD participation and ongoing professional development.
• Management and gerontology courses desirable.
• Risk management experience.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to lead by example and motivate staff.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Knowledge of HIQA standards for residential care.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership, delegation, and supervision of unit staff.
• Communicate clearly with staff and set direction for the unit.
• Complete performance management and development reviews for unit staff.
• Provide clinical governance for the unit.
• Be physically present on the ward and foster effective team communication.
