Job summary

Kiltipper Woods Care Centre in South Dublin is seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager 1 (CNM1) to lead a designated unit within our modern facility and support the ADON/DON and PIC in clinical leadership. The CNM1 will oversee day-to-day clinical practices, mentor staff, and ensure high standards of resident care in line with HIQA requirements.

A Registered General Nurse with at least four years post-qualification experience and strong leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Registered General Nurse and active NMBI membership.
• Minimum of 4 years post-qualification experience.
• Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD).
• Management and Gerontology courses are desirable but not essential.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to lead by example and motivate staff.
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills.
• Knowledge of HIQA Standards for Residential Care.

Responsibilities

• Providing clear clinical leadership, delegation and supervision of staff.
• Providing clear communication and direction to unit staff.
• Completing performance management and development reviews.
• Providing clinical governance on the unit.
• Overseeing day-to-day clinical practices and unit operations.
• Collaborating with PIC, DON/ADON and MDT as part of the management team.
