Senior Claims Strategist - Complex Liabilities and Analytics

Job summary

Zurich Insurance Ireland is seeking an experienced claims professional to manage complex liability, property and Employees’ Compensation claims for corporate clients. You will organize customer meetings, prepare PowerPoint presentations and provide technical support to the team.

You will analyse data for Commercial portfolios, assist the Claims Manager with managerial tasks and ensure compliance with local regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Health, Insurance, Business Administration or Legal required.
• ANZIIF / ACII would be an asset.
• Over 4 years claims management experience; preferably with large and complex claims.
• Experience in managing legal claims is highly preferred.
• Previous experience handling corporate clients and global settlement would be an asset.
• Knowledge in insurance principles; understand industry standards and protocol.
• Litigation knowledge is highly preferred; understanding of legislation and legal liability.
• Knowledge of claims agreements and interpretation of policy cover.
• Knowledge of the legal procedure of Workers’ Compensation litigated case in Hong Kong
• Strong knowledge of Employees’ Compensation Ordinance
• Data analytical skill is preferred
• With medical knowledge would be an asset
• Good command of written & spoken English & Chinese (incl. Mandarin and/or Cantonese)
• Negotiation skills, both in written and verbal
• Candidates with less experience will be considered for Claims Officer position

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the complex liability, property, Employees‘ Compensation claims
• Responsible for organizing customer meeting presentation and preparation of PowerPoint slides
• Provide technical support to the team including work simplification and automation initiatives
• Provide data analytics for Commercial portfolios
• Assist the Claims Manager in managerial tasks if necessary and also other ad hoc tasks
• Adheres to local regulatory and governance requirements throughout the life of the claim to ensure that we make decisions using the right standards.
