Job summary

Energy Organisation in Dublin 8 is seeking an experienced Civil/Structural Engineer to design foundations for modular plant and oversee geotechnical assessments. You will produce intricate trenching and structural layouts and support solar farm development.

The role requires about 8 years of Civil/Structural experience, a Level 8 degree, and ideally Chartered status. You’ll collaborate across teams, mentor juniors, and thrive in a sustainability-focused, climate action environment.

Qualifications

• 8 years' experience in Civil / Structural Engineering.
• Level 8 degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Chartered Engineer status preferred but not essential.
• Strong design & problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in AutoCAD/BIM and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communicator with strong decision-making skills.
• Passionate about sustainability and decarbonisation.
• Full driving licence ideal but not required.

Responsibilities

• Design structural foundations for modular plant and assess geotechnical conditions.
• Produce detailed trenching, ducting & structural layouts.
• Support the development and setting out of solar farms.
• Evaluate existing structures for added load and provide engineered solutions.
• Review and approve civil/structural designs for safety and compliance.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
