Job summary

Fluor Ireland is seeking an experienced Civil Structural Design Lead to join our energy team in Dublin. You will lead renewables grid and substation design and manage a multi-disciplinary design group while coordinating with electrical teams.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years on large infrastructure projects, a Civil/Structural Engineering degree, Chartered status preferred, and strong leadership, budgeting and stakeholder skills; hybrid work with site travel.

Qualifications

• Ideally 10+ years' experience in large infrastructure, utilities or renewables projects.
• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering; Chartered status preferred.
• Experience managing design teams and multi-disciplinary delivery.
• Proven leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Working knowledge of civil design software and MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage renewable design projects from tender to completion.
• Mentor and coordinate civil/structural design team personnel.
• Engage with stakeholders across project lifecycle (developers, authorities, clients).
• Develop and monitor costs, budgets and programming; update weekly P&Ls.
• Prepare tender documents and manage design programmes through construction.
• Review drawings and manage RFI schedules; ensure ISO compliance with teams.
• Travel to sites as required for design meetings.
