Job summary

AVENTA is seeking a highly skilled Civil/Structural Engineer for a site-based role at a remote rural installation in Ireland. You will lead inspection programmes, manage corrosion protection, and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams to ensure safe, compliant, and on-schedule delivery.

• Minimum 5 years of civil/structural engineering experience.
• Onsite construction and supervision of contractors.
• Strong capability in assessing structural condition and troubleshooting defects.
• Commercial and project management experience with contracts.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage civil/structural inspection programmes across station assets.
• Coordinate drainage, drainage testing, and environmental compliance tasks including EPA/licence requirements.
• Oversee corrosion protection systems and rehabilitation of structural steelwork in marine environments.
• Direct project management activities from tender through completion with contractors and consultants.
