Job summary

Global Professional Consultants seeks a Senior Resident Engineer – Marine for a site-based role in Dublin City Centre. You will lead day-to-day supervision of marine and civil construction works, coordinating with the Client, Contractor, Engineer and project team on a major marine infrastructure project.

The role requires a Level 8/9 Civil Engineering degree, 10+ years’ post-graduate experience as a Resident Engineer, and proven Marine Civil experience. A full driving licence is essential.

• Experience on marine civil engineering projects is essential.
• Full clean driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Supervise marine and civil construction works to ensure delivery per design and contract docs.
• Monitor construction progress, quality, methodologies and workmanship.
• Monitor contractors’ compliance with health, safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise closely with the Client, Contractor, Engineer, PSDP and PSCS.
• Attend site meetings and provide technical input as required.

Senior Resident Engineer – Marine
Location: Dublin City Centre

Senior Resident Engineer with marine civil engineering experience required to join a site-based team on a major marine infrastructure project in South Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced civil engineer to take responsibility for the day-to-day supervision and monitoring of marine and civil construction works, working closely with the Client, Contractor, Engineer and wider multidisciplinary project team. The project involves significant marine and land-based civil works, including marine structures, piling, deep excavations, associated infrastructure and civil works.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise marine and civil construction works to ensure they are delivered in accordance with the design, Employer’s Requirements, specifications, contract documentation and relevant permits.
• Monitor construction progress, quality, methodologies and workmanship.
• Monitor contractors’ compliance with health, safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise closely with the Client, Contractor, Engineer, PSDP and PSCS.
• Attend site meetings and provide technical input where required.

Requirements

• Level 8/9 Degree in Civil Engineering
• 10+ years’ post-graduate experience working as a Resident Engineer for a consultancy
• Previous experience working on marine civil engineering projects is essential.
• Experience with marine structures, piling, deep excavations, marine outfalls or similar heavy civil works would be highly beneficial.
• Experience working with contractors and clients on major construction projects.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary project team.
• Full clean driving licence.
