Job summary

BAM UK & Ireland is seeking a Structures Agent/Project Manager to lead the on-site delivery of bridge structures, culverts and earthworks on a major motorway project in Ireland. You will provide leadership to engineering, supervision and subcontractor teams, ensuring safety, quality and regulatory compliance from commencement through handover.

The role requires a Civil/Structural Engineering degree, a Temporary Works Coordinator qualification and extensive experience in major infrastructure

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• Temporary Works Coordinator qualification.
• Extensive experience managing structures and civil engineering elements.
• Knowledge of NEC contracts (desirable) and project controls.
• Proven leadership experience managing construction teams.
• Experience in reinforced concrete, steel structures and major infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, procedures, client standards and project-specific requirements.
• Lead site safety inspections, audits, investigations and corrective actions.
• Provide technical leadership for structural, civil engineering and construction activities.
• Review and manage construction methodologies, RAMS and temporary works.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks and resolve engineering challenges.
• Plan, coordinate and supervise temporary works and ensure safe removal.
• Maintain Temporary Works Register and permit systems.
• Develop and manage construction programmes and delivery strategies.
• Coordinate resources, logistics and subcontractors to meet programme objectives.
• Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, ITPs and client requirements.
• Identify variations and changes and implement risk mitigation.

Education

Degree in Civil Engineering/Structural Engineering/Construction Management
