Job summary

DesignBuild Search are working closely with a Dublin-based engineering consultancy to recruit a Senior Civil Design Engineer. The successful candidate will join the Building & Infrastructure division, delivering design and project support across residential, mixed-use, industrial and commercial developments for public and private sector clients.

The role requires a Level 8 Civil Engineering qualification with 5+ years of relevant experience, strong CAD skills (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit) and

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 8 qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience for the Senior/Lead Engineer role.
• 5+ years of experience on residential projects.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, and Bentley MicroStation.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of contract specifications and drawings
• Surveying and site inspections
• Preparation and Review of preliminary designs and reports using a variety of computer packages and subsequent preparation of detailed design drawings and specifications.
• Contribute to the project team on a day-to-day basis
• Direct communication and meetings with Clients
• Implementing the company’s ISO policies and procedures

The successful candidates will join a strong team of professionals in the Building & Infrastructure Division who cover a broad range of engineering and building projects for both private and public sector clients.

Key Requirements

• Minimum Level 8 qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• 5 years of relevant work experience for the Design Civil Engineer role
• A minimum of 5+ years relevant work experience on residential projects
• 5+ years of experience for the Senior/LeadEngineer role
• Design Experience on building projects (residential, mixed-use developments, industrial and commercial) in the public & private sector
• Ability to achieve tight deadlines working as part of a team
• Proficient in Microsoft Office packages such as Excel, Word and Powerpoint
• Must be proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Rev Revit, Bentley MicroStation & Rebar; Caddie & Utility programs for Drainage and HECRAS and Solidworks
• Excellent verbal and written (English) communication skills
