Senior Civil Design Engineer - Residential & Infra

Job summary

DesignBuild Search are working closely with a Dublin-based leading engineering consultancy to appoint a Senior Civil Design Engineer for the Building & Infrastructure Division. You will join a strong team covering residential, mixed-use, industrial and commercial projects for public and private sector clients.

Key requirements include a Level 8 Civil Engineering degree and 5+ years of experience on residential projects, with proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit and related tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 8 qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 5 years of relevant work experience for the Design Civil Engineer role.
• 5+ years of experience on residential projects.
• 5+ years of experience for the Senior/Lead Engineer role.
• Design experience on building projects (residential, mixed-use developments, industrial and commercial) in the public & private sector.
• Ability to achieve tight deadlines working as part of a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office packages such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Must be proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, Bentley MicroStation & Rebar; Caddie & HECRAS and Solidworks.
• Excellent verbal and written (English) communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of contract specifications and drawings.
• Surveying and site inspections.
• Preparation and Review of preliminary designs and reports using a variety of computer packages and subsequently preparation of detailed design drawings and specifications.
• Contribute to the project team on a day-to-day basis.
• Direct communication and meetings with Clients.
• Implementing the company’s ISO policies and procedures.
