Job summary

SSA Group seeks a Civil Design Engineer to join its design office in Dublin, delivering diverse urban infrastructure projects. You will be involved in design, analysis and documentation across residential, educational, retail and aviation sectors.

The role offers a structured Graduate Development Programme with mentoring, aiming toward Chartership and long-term career progression within a supportive, collaborative team culture.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering (Level 8) or equivalent.
• 1–2 years' experience in general civil works including planning, construction/tender prep and SuDS.
• Familiar with DMRB, Local Design Guides, DMURS and SuDS concepts.
• Proficient with AutoCAD; experience with Microdrainage/WinDES is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design of civil infrastructure for residential, education, retail, workplace, hotel and aviation projects in Dublin.
• Prepare and assist with technical reports, drawings and tender documentation.
• Support the graduate development programme and Chartership pathway through mentoring and hands‑on project work.

• Civil Design Engineer

My Client are a leading Engineering Consultancy who are seeking a Civil Design Engineer who wants the opportunity to apply their creative skills on challenging, high profile projects in their design office in Dublin.

The successful Civil Design Engineer will have a unique opportunity to work on a diverse range of challenging infrastructure designs in residential, education, retail, workplace, hotel and aviation.

Minimum Qualifications:

• The successful Civil Design Engineer will have a minimum Level 8 Degree in Civil Engineering or other relevant discipline.


• Have a minimum of 1 to 2 years’ experience in general civil works including planning and construction/tender preparation and SuDS, general roads infrastructure, technical reports etc.


• Demonstrate knowledge of Design Standards, DMRB, Local Design Guides, GDSDS, SuDS Manual etc. Candidate will receive training on the above and skills will be developed through experience gained.


• The use and application of Microdrainage / WinDES design/ AutoCAD


• Familiar with principles of Sustainable Drainage (SuDS)


• General design of Road Works including familiarity with DMRB and DMURS


• General drainage works design


• The use and application of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel etc.

Benefits:

• €55,000 to €55,000 – Dependent on Experience
