Job summary

Aviva in Ireland seeks a Senior Operational and Change Risk Manager to provide second-line oversight across a broad transformation portfolio, challenging governance and supporting risk-aware decision-making. You will influence senior stakeholders and uphold a strong risk culture while driving positive customer outcomes.

The role requires extensive experience in operational and change risk within financial services, with focus on life and pensions.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in operational risk, change risk, change management or risk and controls roles within financial services (life & pensions industry preferable).
• Ability to identify key risks and influence senior stakeholders for informed decisions.
• Knowledge of change governance, risk and control assessment, operational resilience, regulatory change, technology risk and data risk.

Responsibilities

• Provide second-line oversight across Aviva Ireland's transformation portfolio, focusing on high-risk initiatives.
• Review and challenge key change governance activities including risk assessments, control frameworks, governance, resource plans, testing and implementation decisions.
• Evaluate operational, technology, data, third-party, resilience and AI-related risks within change programmes and escalate material risks.
• Support governance forums with clear risk opinions, reporting, action tracking and timely escalation of concerns.
• Contribute to wider Operational Risk activities including RCSA oversight and cross-functional collaboration.
