Job summary

Diageo is seeking a Lead Project Engineer at St James’ Gate (Dublin) to lead Capital Expenditure projects across the Dublin and Belfast sites. You will drive delivery of investment plans, manage a team of Capex engineers, and ensure safety and compliance across all project activities.

The role requires strong engineering and project management experience, robust stakeholder engagement, and the ability to coordinate internal and external resources to meet strategic objectives for Diageo’s brewing

Qualifications

• Strong Health & Safety experience.
• Engineering knowledge and experience.
• Considerable project management experience.
• Effective stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills.
• Good at networking to establish excellent relationships.
• Ability to prioritise effectively.

Responsibilities

• Leading a team of Capex Project Engineers assigned to various projects.
• Managing Health & Safety of contractor works including managing a H&S Lead resource.
• Developing and leading project progress and cash delivery reporting tools & forums.
• Managing total cash spend for the project portfolio to an annual operating plan.
• Leading the long-range Capital Project planning process for the site.
• Using of specialist engineering knowledge to support delivery to correct technical specification.
• Ensuring project compliance with appropriate Health, Safety and Environmental standards, Diageo Code of Conduct, Legal & Regulatory Standards.
• Co‑ordinating and managing external resources.
• Communication to stakeholders at all levels.
