Reperio Human Capital Ltd in Dublin is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop and test embedded C firmware for ARM Cortex‑M devices in a hybrid Dublin role. You will work on BLE features, ultra‑low‑power firmware and secure boot processes.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of embedded software experience, strong debugging skills (JTAG/SWD, scopes, analyzers) and familiarity with Zephyr or FreeRTOS. Nordic nRF52/53 experience and Python/CI‑CD skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and test embedded C firmware on ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers.
• Develop BLE functionality, ideally using the Nordic nRF Connect SDK.
• Build ultra-low-power firmware for battery-powered devices.
• Develop bootloaders, OTA updates and secure boot features.
• Work with Zephyr or FreeRTOS and bare-metal environments.
• Support board bring-up and hardware/software integration with the hardware team.
• Produce design documentation and verification evidence in a regulated environment.

Requirements

• 8+ years' embedded software engineering experience.
• Strong embedded C on ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers.
• Experience with Zephyr or FreeRTOS.
• Strong debugging skills with JTAG/SWD, oscilloscopes and logic analysers.

Nice to Have

• Nordic nRF52/nRF53 experience.
• Python for test automation; Git and CI/CD.
