Job summary

Reperio Human Capital Ltd is recruiting an Embedded Software Engineer in Shannon, Ireland. You will design, develop and test embedded C/C++ software for microcontroller‑based products used in life‑safety and connected‑home applications.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of embedded software engineering experience.
• Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong C and/or C++ programming skills.
• Experience with microcontrollers, RTOS, embedded Linux or bare‑metal development.
• Good knowledge of SPI, I2C, UART, USB, Bluetooth and Wi‑Fi.
• Comfortable working from datasheets and schematics during board bring‑up.
• Right to work in Ireland.

Our client, an established electronics manufacturer, is looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to develop embedded software for its life-safety and connected-home products.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and test embedded C/C++ software for microcontroller-based products.
• Develop drivers, communication protocols and system features.
• Support the integration of wireless technologies, including BLE, Matter, Thread and Wi‑Fi.
• Support hardware bring‑up and hardware/software integration.
• Carry out unit, integration and system‑level testing.
• Investigate defects and perform root‑cause analysis.
• Contribute to design reviews, code reviews and CI/CD practices.

Requirements
