Position: Senior Business Analyst – Digital Assets & Financial Markets

Location: Limerick/ Dublin, Ireland

Duration: 12+ Months Contract

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst for a strategic Digital Assets and Financial Markets initiative within Financial Services firm. The role requires strong Financial Services experience and the ability to define requirements for new products and capabilities from the ground up and strong data analysis skills.

Key Responsibilities

• A senior Financial Services BA who can work from a blank sheet, shape requirements for new products, and bridge business and technology teams through the full delivery lifecycle.
• Elicit, analyse and document complex business and functional requirements.
• Define requirements for new products and capabilities, from initial concept through implementation.
• Develop process flows, business requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Perform current-state, target-state and gap analysis.
• Conduct data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, data-quality issues and business insights.
• Analyse data flows, mappings, transformations and reconciliations across systems.
• Collaborate with Product, Operations, Technology, Risk and Compliance teams.
• Support solution design, testing, UAT and implementation.

Required Experience & Skills

• 10+ years of Financial Services experience – Asset Management and Custody.
• Strong knowledge of fund management, custody, trade lifecycle, settlements, and back-office operations.
• Strong experience in business requirements analysis and new product development.
• Experience working across multiple delivery methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
• Strong analytical, process-modelling and stakeholder-management skills.
• Demonstrable data analysis experience, including working with large and complex financial datasets.
• Experience with SQL, Excel and data analysis/reporting tools such as Power BI is highly desirable. Understanding of data quality, data mapping, lineage and reconciliation.
• Ability to translate complex business needs into clear requirements for technology teams.

Highly Desirable

• Exposure to Digital Assets, tokenization, blockchain/DLT or digital asset custody.
