The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support a strategic Digital Assets initiative within a leading Financial Services environment. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of traditional financial markets, innovative technology and the rapidly evolving digital asset ecosystem.

Working closely with Business, Product, Operations, Technology, Risk, Compliance and Legal teams, you will play a pivotal role in translating business strategy into clear requirements, practical solutions and actionable delivery plans.

You will contribute to initiatives spanning Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT), Digital Custody, Digital Cash, Payment Networks and Digitally Native Funds, helping ensure that complex business needs are translated into solutions that are commercially viable, operationally effective and aligned with regulatory expectations.

What You'll Be Doing

• Translate business strategy into requirements: Work with business and technology stakeholders to understand strategic objectives, define business needs and translate them into clear, structured requirements.
• Drive business analysis across digital assets: Support initiatives involving DLT, digital custody, digital cash, payment networks and digitally native funds, assessing business processes, capabilities and operating models.
• Bridge business and technology: Act as a key link between business stakeholders, product teams, architects, developers and delivery teams, ensuring solutions meet business objectives.
• Lead requirements discovery: Facilitate workshops, stakeholder interviews and working sessions to capture business requirements, functional specifications, user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Analyse processes and operating models: Map current-state processes, identify gaps and inefficiencies, and define future-state workflows to support digital asset capabilities and transformation.
• Support solution design: Collaborate with Product, Technology and Architecture teams to assess solution options, clarify requirements and ensure alignment between business expectations and technical delivery.
• Manage stakeholder alignment: Build strong relationships across Investment, Trading, Operations, Technology, Risk, Compliance and Legal, resolving ambiguity and driving agreement on priorities.
• Embed risk and regulatory requirements: Work with control functions to ensure business requirements reflect relevant regulatory obligations, operational risk considerations and control frameworks.
• Support delivery and testing: Partner with development and testing teams throughout the delivery lifecycle, supporting functional testing, user acceptance testing, defect resolution and business sign-off.
• Drive continuous improvement: Identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve operational efficiency and deliver measurable business value through digital innovation.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst within Financial Services, ideally in complex business and technology transformation programmes.
• Strong domain knowledge across Asset Management, Capital Markets or Financial Markets.
• Experience gathering, documenting and managing business and functional requirements across multiple stakeholders and workstreams.
• Demonstrable experience with process mapping, gap analysis, operating model design and business process improvement.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively across business, product, operations and technology teams.
• Experience working within Agile and Waterfall delivery environments, including the development of user stories, acceptance criteria and requirements documentation.
• A strong understanding of the software delivery lifecycle, testing processes and business acceptance.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements.
• A structured and proactive approach, with the confidence to challenge assumptions, resolve ambiguity and drive decisions forward.

What Will Set You Apart

• Experience working on Digital Asset, blockchain, Distributed Ledger Technology or asset tokenisation initiatives.
• Knowledge of digital asset custody, trading, settlement, payments or digitally native investment products.
• An understanding of the operational and business implications of integrating digital assets into institutional financial services.
• Familiarity with regulatory, risk, compliance and control requirements relevant to institutional digital assets.
• Experience working with custodians, market infrastructure providers, fintechs or digital asset platforms.
• Exposure to product-led delivery, business capability mapping or target operating model design.
• Relevant qualifications such as IIBA, BCS Business Analysis, or equivalent professional experience.
