Job summary

Northern Trust in Ireland is seeking a Specialist Business Analyst to support the delivery of Digital Assets & Innovation initiatives. You will analyse business requirements, document processes, and translate needs into effective solutions within a cross-functional, agile-aligned environment.

The role involves collaborating with Product Owners, Technology, Operations, Risk, Legal, and external vendors to ensure solutions meet objectives, regulatory requirements, and client expectations while

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in business analysis, process improvement, product delivery, consulting, or related roles.
• Experience working on technology-enabled change initiatives within financial services or a regulated industry is preferred.
• Understanding of Agile and Kanban delivery frameworks and product development practices is a plus.
• Knowledge of digital assets, blockchain technology, tokenisation, digital custody, cryptocurrency reporting, or emerging financial technologies is beneficial but not essential.
• Experience implementing AI agents / thinking through how AI can be effectively applied to a delivery team is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support the analysis, definition, and delivery of Digital Assets & Innovation initiatives, products, and enhancements.
• Gather, document, and validate business, functional, and operational requirements through stakeholder engagement and analysis.
• Create and maintain business process maps, user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting documentation.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Technology teams, and business stakeholders to ensure requirements are understood and delivered.
• Assist in evaluating problems, identifying root causes, and proposing practical solutions.
• Build relationships across business and technology teams to promote communication, transparency, and delivery success.
• Support vendor evaluations, proof-of-concepts, and product assessments as required.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and client experience.
