Job summary

Amey in Dublin is seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer to join the Consulting Structures team on a permanent basis. Located in the Docklands at The Freight Building, you will lead bridge projects from concept to handover, mentor junior engineers and collaborate with a wide team to deliver safe, resilient infrastructure.

You will work on structures schemes for public transport, coordinate with clients and suppliers, and drive health and safety practices while maintaining quality, cost and programme.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an appropriate subject or demonstrable equivalent further learning.
• Incorporated or Chartered status with Engineers Ireland, ICE or IStructE is desirable and may be essential on particular contracts.
• Comprehensive knowledge of structural design processes and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team, producing technically sound engineering solutions.
• Take ownership and lead bridge projects from start to finish, from quotation to handover.
• Prepare and check designs, calculations, drawings and documentation for scheme deliverables.
• Supervise junior staff and contribute to their development.
• Liaise with clients and supplier representatives and attend progress meetings.
• Drive Health and Safety practices within the team.
