Job summary

Access Talent Group is seeking an experienced Senior Bridge Engineer in Naas to lead bridge projects from concept to construction and to mentor junior staff. You will prepare calculations, drawings and specifications for reinforced concrete and steel structures while liaising with clients and contractors within a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires Chartered status or clear pathway, 5+ years of experience, and comprehensive knowledge of Eurocodes and Irish standards.

Qualifications

Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and 5+ years' experience in bridge/structural engineering.
Strong experience in design and assessment of bridges and civil structures.
Experience with reinforced concrete and steel design.
Knowledge of Eurocodes and Irish design standards.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and delivery of bridge projects from concept through to construction.
Prepare and review structural calculations, drawings and technical specifications.
Design and assess reinforced concrete, steel and masonry structures.
Undertake bridge inspections, assessments and condition surveys.
Manage structural elements of multidisciplinary infrastructure projects.
Liaise with clients, contractors and other design disciplines.
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.
Assist with project management, programming and resource planning.
Support the preparation of tenders, fee proposals and technical reports.
Ensure designs comply with Irish and European standards.
Attend site meetings and provide technical support during construction.
