AstraZeneca/Alexion is recruiting for a senior, hands-on manufacturing leader at our new bulk drug substance site in College Park, Dublin. You will guide a shift team on end-to-end operations to deliver compliant biologics with right-first-time execution.

You will set technical standards, use advanced automation and electronic batch records, and drive continuous improvement through data-led decisions, CAPAs, and cross-functional collaboration. 8+ years in cGMP biotech preferred.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in a cGMP biotech manufacturing environment.
• Proven technical leadership and senior shift management experience.
• Deep knowledge of biotech processing and batch documentation.
• Experience with SAP, TrackWise and process automation.
• BA/BS in a scientific field.

Responsabilités

• Independently execute core tasks across cell culture, media preparation, purification, and related activities.
• Lead shift decisions to protect schedule adherence and product quality.
• Develop subject matter expertise across multiple process technologies and troubleshoot.
• Operate manufacturing control systems and electronic batch records to drive compliance.
• Lead data-driven improvements to reduce deviations, cycle time and waste.
• Mentor colleagues in SOPs and equipment operation.
• Support start-up, tech transfer, and validation activities.
• Maintain a safe, inspection-ready workplace and address hazards.
• Collaborate with maintenance and materials teams to ensure equipment readiness.
• Contribute to CAPAs and investigations.
