Job summary

RxSense, a healthcare technology company, seeks an experienced Senior BI Engineer to own analytics from the gold data layer to consumer dashboards. You will model data, define metrics, and build enterprise dashboards in a governed, scalable environment.

This hands‑on role emphasizes data modeling, metric governance, and AI‑assisted analytics, with a focus on delivering trusted insights to internal and PBM clients.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands‑on experience building BI solutions: data models, metrics, dashboards, and reporting.
• Strong grounding in data analytics as a domain: data modeling, metric definition, and the analytical questions behind dashboards.
• Proven experience building data models and transformations in a cloud data warehouse (Snowflake).
• Demonstrated breadth across BI tools (ThoughtSpot, Sigma, Tableau, Power BI, Qlik Sense) with quality design judgment.
• Fluency in the AI era: coding agents, development environments, and AI tooling as productivity multipliers.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain gold‑layer data models and a governed metrics layer in Snowflake using dbt — clean, tested, documented, and version‑controlled.
• Establish metric definitions as the single source of truth: calculated once, reused everywhere, with clear ownership and change management.
• Push transformation and calculation logic upstream into the warehouse so the consumption layer stays simple, consistent, and high‑trust.
• Partner with data engineering on the boundary between raw/silver pipelines and the gold/metrics layer.
• Structure and document metrics to meet governance and consistency needs of AI agents and autonomous analytical systems.
