Job summary

Lilly UK and Ireland is seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Developer (P1-P3) to advance data modelling, analytics, and reporting across its finance operations. You will build AI-ready data models, develop data pipelines, and deliver scalable BI solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

You'll work with modern platforms like Fabric, Databricks, and SAP data sources, crafting dashboards and datasets while ensuring governance and deployment through GitHub and Jira.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in data modelling and schema design.
• 3+ years' experience building data pipelines using PySpark and notebooks.
• 5+ years' experience in developing, deploying and maintaining analytical models in production environments.
• 5+ years' experience in data visualization in Power BI.
• Skilled in leveraging DAX in Power BI, ensuring scalable and responsive Power BI reports across large datasets.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data models using modern data platforms (e.g., Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Snowflake), ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and analytics goals.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines using Fabric/Databricks notebooks and PySpark for large-scale data transformation and processing across finance data domains.
• Deploy and operationalise analytical models and data pipelines, ensuring they are scalable, maintainable, and integrated into business workflows.
• Work closely with finance teams, data engineers, and business analysts to understand requirements and deliver data solutions that meet operational and strategic needs.
• Design and implement intuitive Power BI reports and enhance with advanced analytics.
• Build and maintain datasets that integrate SAP and non-SAP financial data sources, enabling seamless access for reporting and analytics.
• Ensure metadata is accurately captured and maintained for lineage and governance.
• Write, test, and promote code through GitHub, following the team's environment-based release process from development through QA to production.
• Track, plan, and manage project work using Jira, ensuring visibility of progress, priorities, and dependencies across the team.
• Adhere to enterprise data standards and governance frameworks.
• Determines the appropriate method of data integration and methodology, analyses and interprets information gained and implements recommendations.
