Job summary

Jobgether seeks a (Senior) Product Engineer (Backend) based in Ireland to build scalable SaaS backend services using Kotlin or Java. You will own features end-to-end, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and apply AI coding tools to expand your scope across the stack.

The role offers remote-first flexibility with in-person EU events as needed. Candidates with a strong product mindset and willingness to contribute to frontend/infra are welcome, with opportunities to grow in an AI-enabled

Qualifications

• Backend experience with Kotlin or Java and Micronaut or Spring.
• Experience developing SaaS products in Agile settings.
• Willingness to contribute across frontend, mobile, or infra.
• Familiarity with AI-powered coding tools or openness to adopt them.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable backend services using Kotlin/Java and modern web frameworks.
• Own features from discovery to rollout and impact assessment.
• Collaborate with product and design to translate user needs into shipped experiences.
• Contribute to other parts of the product stack when needed.
• Utilise AI coding assistants to navigate codebases and prototype solutions.
• Support end-to-end engineering practices and deployment/infrastructure tasks.
