Job summary

Jobgether, on behalf of a partner company, seeks a Backend Engineer in Ireland. You’ll join a small, autonomous team building scalable backend services in Node.js and TypeScript for a global analytics platform used by thousands of publishers.

Expect ownership of API design, data processing, and performance optimization, with AI-assisted coding tools as part of your workflow. You’ll collaborate across product, data, and frontend teams in an international setting, contribute to testing, CI/CD, and

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript.
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases (MySQL, MongoDB, ClickHouse).
• Knowledge of API design, data modeling, and web architecture.
• Performance-oriented mindset with latency and scalability focus.
• Experience using AI-assisted coding tools in development workflows.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployment (Docker, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in Spanish and English.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Build and optimize APIs for analytics products with real-time and historical datasets.
• Work with MySQL, MongoDB, and ClickHouse.
• Ensure performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability of backend services.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and technical design for new features.
• Develop data models and optimize queries and latency.
• Collaborate with product, data, and frontend teams to deliver solutions.
• Participate in Agile development cycles.
• Integrate AI-powered tooling into the workflow.
• Contribute to testing strategies, deployment processes, and CI/CD practices.
• Navigate existing codebases while building new services.
