Job summary

Jobgether, in partnership with a global operator, seeks a Senior Backend Developer in Ireland to build high‑performance Java/Spring Boot services. You will work on distributed systems, APIs, and LLM‑powered automation in a remote‑first, international setting.

You will own features end‑to‑end, ensuring code quality, testing, and reliable delivery while applying modern AI techniques to real‑world backend challenges.

Qualifications

• Minimum six years of hands-on Java backend development experience.
• Proficient with Spring Boot 2.x/3.x and Hibernate 5.x/6.x.
• Experience building scalable REST APIs and distributed systems.
• Strong PostgreSQL and data modeling experience.
• Hands-on with LLMs, RAG, and agentic workflows.
• Familiar with AI coding tools and code quality practices.
• Fluent English at high proficiency (C1 preferred).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize backend services with Java/Spring Boot.
• Deliver end-to-end features from requirements to testing and deployment.
• Build REST APIs and integrate services across complex environments.
• Develop distributed services with robust messaging using Kafka.
• Implement event-driven architectures and data models in PostgreSQL.
• Integrate LLMs and agentic workflows into backend capabilities.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to ship software.
