Job summary

Mason Alexander partners with an early-stage company in Ireland hiring a Backend Engineer (TypeScript) for a scalable B2B SaaS platform. You’ll own backend features end-to-end, ingest heavy project documentation, reason across data, and help automate workflows like RFIs, variation drafting and site reporting. Dublin hybrid role with a small, high-performing team.

You’ll bring 5–8 years of TypeScript experience, some Python, relational databases, and cloud exposure (GCP preferred; AWS ok).

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of software development experience, with TypeScript as the main language and some Python experience.
• Experience with relational databases (Postgres or similar).
• Able to take work from conversation to production independently.
• Nice to have: LLM or RAG experience and document parsing.
• Cloud experience with GCP (AWS acceptable).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a scalable backend in TypeScript for a B2B SaaS platform.
• Collaborate with a small high-performing team to ship features end-to-end.
• Ingest heavy project documentation, reason over data, and automate workflows (RFIs, variations, site reports).

They are building a project-scoped, AI-assisted platform designed to ingest heavy project documentation, reason across complex data, and automate critical industry workflows (like RFIs, variation drafting, and site reporting). This isn't about building a fragile AI chatbot wrapper; it’s about architecting a robust, scalable B2B SaaS platform that solves messy, real-world operational problems.

Location: Dublin, Ireland (Hybrid)
