Job summary

Stelfox is partnering with a leading organisation in Dublin to hire a Senior AWS Cloud Platform Engineer on a hybrid basis (3 days on-site). You will design, build, and operate scalableAWS environments, with a strong emphasis on automation, IaC (Terraform), and secure delivery pipelines.

You will join a skilled cloud platform team to drive security, governance, and cost-optimised cloud solutions across multi-account environments, including landing zones and Control Tower, while collaborating

Qualifications

• 8+ years in Software/Platform Engineering or SRE, with 5+ years in AWS.
• Proven experience delivering production-grade cloud solutions in regulated environments.
• Strong expertise in AWS architecture, security, IAM, networking, and governance.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or Shell scripting.
• Hands-on Terraform or similar IaC tooling experience.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of zero-trust architecture, encryption, and KMS.
• Experience with multi-account AWS environments and Control Tower.
• Background in financial services or fintech.
• Experience in cost optimisation across cloud platforms.
• Contributions to open-source projects or active involvement in cloud communities.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Required Experience

• Strong expertise in: AWS architecture & services, Cloud security, IAM, networking, and governance, Networking concepts (firewalls, DNS, load balancing, proxies)
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or Shell scripting
• Hands-on experience with Terraform (or similar IaC tools)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Knowledge of zero-trust architecture, encryption, and KMS
• Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset
• Background in financial services or fintech
• Experience with multi-account AWS environments and Control Tower
• Experience in cost optimisation strategies across cloud platforms
