Job summary

Stelfox Limited in Ireland is seeking a Senior AWS Cloud Engineer on a daily rate contract operating in a hybrid workplace. You will join a cloud platform team to design, implement, and operate cloud infrastructure at scale in regulated environments.

The role requires 8-10+ years in software or platform engineering with AWS expertise, IaC (Terraform), containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and cloud security and governance. Collaboration with engineering, security, and operations is essential.

Qualifications

• 8-10+ years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, or SRE, with 4+ years in AWS.
• Proven experience designing production-grade cloud infrastructure in regulated environments.
• Deep understanding of cloud security, networking, IAM, and governance within AWS.
• Advanced networking knowledge (firewalls, DNS, Load Balancing, Proxies).
• Proficiency in scripting/programming (Python, Go, Shell).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows.
• Excellent communication and collaborative mindset.
• Experience with multi-account cloud architectures, landing zones, or control towers.
• Familiarity with zero-trust architecture, data encryption, and KMS.
• Strong IaC skills using Terraform.

Responsibilities

• Automate deployments and manage infrastructure as code.
