Sigmar Recruitment is seeking an experienced Audit & Accounts Senior to join a well-established accountancy practice in Ireland. You will lead audit and accounts assignments, supervise staff, and deliver high-quality financial statements and tax returns on time.

You will work with a varied client portfolio, manage client relationships, and develop your career across audit, accounts preparation, taxation and compliance within a supportive professional environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a general accounting practice.
• Experience working at Audit Senior or Accounts Senior level.
• Strong knowledge of accounting and auditing standards.
• Experience supervising assignments and managing client relationships.
• Good knowledge of financial statements and accounts preparation.
• Strong organisational, analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced practice environment.
• Professional, dependable and client-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise audit and accounts assignments.
• Prepare statutory and audit-exempt financial statements.
• Complete audit working papers and supporting documentation.
• Prepare corporation tax returns and iXBRL submissions for review.
• Prepare budgets and cash flow projections.
• Manage day-to-day client relationships and respond to client queries.
• Deal with Revenue correspondence and assist with Revenue audits.
• Investigate accounting and audit issues and provide practical solutions.
• Ensure assignments are completed accurately, efficiently and on time.
• Support and train junior staff and student trainees.
• Prepare client reports, technical briefs and checklists as required.
