Job summary

ProSource Group is seeking an experienced Audit Manager for a leading South Dublin accountancy practice. You will report to the Partners and share responsibility for client ownership, service delivery and progression opportunities.

The role covers audits, accounts, and advisory services for SME, owner‑managed and corporate clients. ACA/ACCA, strong Irish GAAP knowledge and excellent communication are essential traits for success.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualified.
• Significant audit experience in an Irish accountancy practice.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of audit and accounts clients across a broad range of industries.
• Lead audit engagements from planning through to completion, ensuring high standards.
• Review statutory financial statements prepared under Irish GAAP.
• Act as primary client contact, offering commercially focused advice and building relationships.
• Work with Partners on complex assignments and business development initiatives.
• Review and supervise Audit Seniors and junior team members; provide coaching.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, professional and quality control requirements.
• Assist in improving audit methodologies, internal processes and efficiencies.
• Support practice growth by identifying additional service opportunities within existing clients.
• Participate in staff development, performance management and recruitment.

Our client, a well-established South Dublin accountancy practice and they are seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join their leadership team. Reporting directly to the Partners, this is a senior position offering genuine responsibility, client ownership and a clear pathway to further progression within the firm.

This is a broad Audit and Accounts role, ideally suited to someone currently working in a medium-sized practice who enjoys building long-term client relationships and being involved in all aspects of client service, rather than specialising in one narrow area.

The successful candidate will become a key member of the firm's management team, working closely with the Partners to deliver high-quality audit and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of SME, owner-managed and corporate clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of audit and accounts clients across a broad range of industries.
• Lead audit engagements from planning through to completion, ensuring work is delivered efficiently and to the highest professional standards.
• Review statutory financial statements prepared under relevant accounting standards.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing commercially focused advice and developing long‑term relationships.
• Work directly with the Partners on complex assignments, technical matters and business development initiatives.
• Review and supervise the work of Audit Seniors and junior team members, providing coaching, mentoring and technical guidance.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory, professional and quality control requirements.
• Assist in improving audit methodologies, internal processes and operational efficiencies.
• Support practice growth by identifying additional service opportunities within the existing client base.

About You

• ACA or ACCA qualified.
• Significant experience in an audit role within an Irish accountancy practice.
• Previous experience managing a client portfolio and leading audit engagements.
• Strong technical knowledge of Irish GAAP, auditing standards and company law.
• Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
• A collaborative leader who enjoys mentoring and developing others.
• Commercially aware with the ability to provide practical advice to business owners and management teams.
• Acting as a Responsible Individual (RI) or the ambition and capability to become an RI in the future.
