Senior Architectural Technologist / Project Manager

The Opportunity
An established Irish property and development organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Architectural Technologist / Project Manager to join its team in Navan, Co. Meath.
This is an excellent opportunity to take a leading role in the technical design, coordination and delivery of a diverse portfolio of projects across the commercial, healthcare and residential sectors.
The successful candidate will combine strong architectural technology expertise with proven project management skills, working closely with internal teams, consultants, contractors and other project stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, to a high standard and in line with programme and budget requirements.
Strong AutoCAD Experience is Essential
Professional proficiency in AutoCAD is a critical requirement for this position.
The successful candidate must be highly confident using AutoCAD to produce, review, interpret and coordinate technical drawings, construction details and project information.
Candidates should have strong practical experience in technical drawing and construction detailing, with the ability to coordinate design information through the various stages of a project.
Key Responsibilities
- Take a leading role in the technical design, coordination and delivery of projects.
- Manage and coordinate projects from initial design and planning stages through to construction and completion.
- Prepare, review and coordinate detailed architectural and construction drawings using AutoCAD.
- Develop and review construction details, specifications and technical information.
- Coordinate design information between architects, engineers, consultants, contractors and other project stakeholders.
- Ensure drawings and technical information are accurate, coordinated and issued within agreed programmes.
- Assist with project planning, programming, procurement and delivery.
- Monitor project progress, costs, quality and programme.
- Identify and manage potential design, technical and construction issues.
- Attend project and site meetings as required and provide progress updates.
- Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and professional consultants.
- Ensure projects comply with relevant Irish or UK Building Regulations, standards and statutory requirements where applicable.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure information is effectively managed throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support the wider management team in delivering projects on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
- Assist with project reporting, programmes and management information using Microsoft Excel, Project Management software and other relevant systems.
Office-Based Role
This position will be predominantly office based in Navan, Co. Meath.
The role will involve occasional visits to project and development sites as required, but it is primarily focused on technical design, architectural technology, project coordination and project management from the office.
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- A degree or diploma in Architectural Technology.
- Ideally 10+ years' relevant professional experience.
- Strong technical design and construction detailing experience.
- Proven project management and project coordination experience.
- High-level proficiency in AutoCAD - ESSENTIAL.
- Strong knowledge of technical drawings, specifications and construction documentation.
- Experience with Irish or UK Building Regulations.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft packages, particularly Excel and Project Management software.
- Excellent communication, organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects and work effectively with a range of stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of construction processes and project delivery.
- A full clean driving licence.
- Eligibility to work in Ireland.
Desirable Experience
The following would be advantageous:
- Experience across commercial, healthcare and residential projects.
- Experience working within a developer-led or construction environment.
- Strong knowledge of construction detailing and technical design.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary design teams.
- Experience managing projects from design through to construction and completion.
- Knowledge of current construction standards, regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience with MS Project, Excel, Procore or similar project management systems.
- Safe Pass.
- Familiarity with PSDP / PSCS requirements and construction health & safety processes.
