Job summary

Stephen Carr Architects in Wexford is seeking a Senior Architectural Technologist to lead project delivery from planning through to construction. You will work with the architect and project team to ensure projects are delivered to a high standard.

The role involves detailed design, tender, construction stages, and coordination of consultants, with opportunities to contribute to interior design schemes while adhering to Irish Building Regulations and BCMS processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 9 years’ experience as Architectural Technologist.
• 3+ years in a senior/independent capacity leading detailed design and construction stages.
• Proven ability to manage smaller projects independently.
• Designer and PSDP experience with Preliminary Health & Safety Plans and coordination of Safety Files.
• Strong knowledge of Irish Building Regulations and BCMS processes.
• Experience coordinating consultants (civil/structural, fire & access, M&E).

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of projects from detailed design through to completion.
• Work closely with the architect and project team to ensure high standards.
• Coordinate consultants during detailed design and construction across disciplines.
• Contribute to interior design schemes where appropriate.

Stephen Carr Architects is an established architectural practice based in Wexford. We are seeking a Senior Architectural Technologist to join our team and support the delivery of projects from planning permission through to construction completion.

This role offers the opportunity to work across a diverse range of projects in the south-east, from our offices conveniently located on the Wexford town ring road.

Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Architectural Technologist who can take a lead role in the delivery of projects, particularly through detailed design, tender, construction, and completion stages. You will work closely with the architect and wider project team to ensure projects are delivered to a high standard.

What we’re looking for

• At least 9 years’ experience working as an Architectural Technologist.
• At least 3 years’ experience in a senior or independent capacity, including leading detailed design and construction-stage delivery.
• Proven ability to manage smaller projects independently, with support from the architect where required.
• Experience acting as Designer and PSDP, including preparation and issue of Preliminary Health & Safety Plans and coordination of Safety Files on completion.
• Strong knowledge of Irish Building Control Regulations and BCMS processes.
• Experience coordinating consultants during detailed design and construction, including civil/structural, fire and access, and mechanical and electrical consultants.
• Proficiency in Revit or AutoCAD, as well as Word and Excel.
• Interest in delivering projects from planning through to construction, with the potential to contribute to interior design schemes.
