Job summary

Genesys Galway is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Analytics Platform to design, build and operate high-scale data analytics services. You’ll own data ingestion, processing, storage and querying pipelines, and work with cross-functional teams to turn complex data into reliable, production-ready capabilities.

In this role you’ll deploy and maintain cloud-native services on AWS, collaborate with product, data science and engineering peers, and help raise the bar on reliability, observability

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant industry experience building and operating scalable software systems.
• Strong Java development experience with Spring/Spring Boot for cloud-native apps.
• Experience building and supporting data streaming solutions using Apache Kafka.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Druid and/or Apache Flink for large-scale analytics.
• Practical cloud experience, ideally with AWS; familiarity with GCP or Azure is welcome.

Responsibilities

• Design and ship highly available, fault-tolerant analytics services and pipelines.
• Own the full data lifecycle from ingestion to storage, search and aggregation.
• Deploy, automate, and maintain large AWS deployments with reliability and efficiency.
• Collaborate across teams to turn requirements into production-ready tools and services.
• Mentor peers and contribute to best practices for platform reliability and performance.
