Job summary
Genesys is seeking a Principal Engineer to design and evolve backend platforms powering agentic AI products. You will own technical strategy for core services, data and runtime foundations, partnering with AI specialists and leading multiple teams to deliver secure, low-latency systems at global scale.
You will shape ingestion, transformation, lineage and governance, ensure privacy-by-design and drive CI/CD, IaC and progressive delivery while mentoring staff engineers and tech leads across
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science or related field.
- 8+ years building and operating backend/platform software with leadership impact.
- Strong Java or Python and fundamentals in distributed-systems design.
Responsibilities
- Own multi-year backend strategy and architecture for Agentic AI workloads.
- Define north-star architectures for APIs, data flows, events and multi-tenant isolation.
- Standardise templates, patterns, schema versioning, tests and docs across teams.
- Design for scale, reliability and cost; drive SLOs/SLAs and capacity planning.
- Lead CI/CD, IaC, observability and on-call practices; improve incidents into systemic fixes.
