Job summary

Mastercard Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design scalable AI-powered solutions, focusing on MCP & RAG, across AWS, Cloudera, and Databricks. You will build knowledge bases, LLM-driven apps, and robust APIs, collaborating with product, engineering, and data teams.

Ideal candidates have 5–10 years in software engineering, strong Python, Angular, LangChain, and vector databases expertise, with a passion for secure, scalable architecture and mentoring juniors.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years in software engineering with a focus on AI/ML and distributed systems.
• Proficiency in Python for scalable backend systems.
• Experience with Angular or similar frontend frameworks for AI applications.
• Hands-on experience with LangChain and RAG-based architectures.
• Knowledge of vector databases (PGVector, GraphDB) and embedding models.
• Cloud platforms expertise, especially AWS; familiarity with Cloudera and Databricks.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver AI-powered solutions using LLMs and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
• Build and maintain enterprise knowledge bases with vector search capabilities.
• Develop LLM-driven applications using LangChain and orchestration patterns.
• Architect scalable, secure solutions across AWS, Cloudera, and Databricks.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and data teams to translate business needs into AI-enabled solutions.
• Maintain robust APIs and microservices for AI apps and front-end integration.
• Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and operational standards.
• Monitor model performance and optimize reliability in production.
