Job summary

Mastercard is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (MCP & RAG) to design and deliver AI-powered systems. You will build production-ready LLM-driven applications, knowledge bases with vector search, and orchestrate complex AI workflows using LangChain.

You will collaborate across product, engineering, and data teams to ensure secure, scalable solutions that meet governance and compliance standards in a regulated enterprise environment.

Qualifications

• 5 to 10 years of software engineering experience with AI/ML focus.
• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or equivalent.
• Strong Python proficiency for scalable backend systems.
• Experience with LLM frameworks and RAG-based architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver AI-powered solutions using LLMs and RAG.
• Build enterprise knowledge bases with vector search for semantic retrieval.
• Develop LLM-driven applications with LangChain and orchestration patterns.
• Implement Model Context Protocols or equivalent model interaction frameworks.
• Architect scalable, secure cloud and data solutions across AWS, Cloudera, Databricks.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and data teams to translate needs into AI solutions.
• Develop robust APIs and microservices for AI apps and frontend integrations.
• Ensure data governance, security, compliance, and operational excellence.
