Job summary

Albany Beck is seeking an experienced AI software engineer to join our payments-focused AI team in Dublin. You will own the full development lifecycle from concept to production, building intelligent applications that scale on a global digital platform.

Bring 5+ years in software engineering, deep knowledge of LLMs and agentic systems, and proven cloud-native delivery experience across AWS/GCP/Azure. You’ll mentor peers and shape best practices in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' software engineering experience delivering production systems.
• Proven experience building and deploying AI-powered applications.
• Strong knowledge of LLMs, RAG, vector search, prompt engineering and agentic systems.
• Strong understanding of APIs, distributed systems, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure) and CI/CD practices.
• Experience with cloud-native architectures, data modelling and system observability.
• Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-paced environments and take ownership of delivery.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and deploy production-grade AI applications.
• Develop solutions using LLMs, RAG, agentic workflows, tool calling and API integrations.
• Build across the full stack, including backend services, APIs, data models, cloud infrastructure and user interfaces.
• Evaluate and optimise AI performance through testing, monitoring and metrics.
• Drive technical decisions around model selection, scalability, reliability and cost.
• Collaborate with product, engineering and platform teams to deliver impactful solutions.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to technical standards and best practices.
