Job summary

Version 1 is seeking an experienced solution architect to lead architectural design across strategic projects in Ireland. You will partner with business analysts and delivery teams to shape requirements and ensure designs meet governance standards.

The role spans cloud and on-premises solutions, with emphasis on Azure, middleware, and data architecture. You will influence stakeholders, develop roadmaps, and drive modernisation initiatives in regulated environments, while mentoring colleagues and

Qualifications

• Proven experience in solution design and architecture across database, backend, integration, and UX.
• Influencing skills and experience engaging with senior stakeholders.
• Ability to produce concise designs aligned with governance and strategy.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud-native solutions and hybrid-cloud migrations.
• Knowledge of modelling tools like Sparx Enterprise Architect and TOGAF.
• Experience with .NET, SQL Server, Dynamics 365 and Angular.
• Experience assisting technology modernisation and digital transformation.
• Experience in regulated environments.

Job Description

• Act as the lead architect or work alongside other solution architects on strategic projects, including procurement and software development initiatives.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in solution design and architecture, delivering technical solutions to business requirements across technology layers including database, backend, integration and user experience.
• Effective influencing skills and experience engaging with senior business and technology stakeholders.
• Ability to produce concise and accurate solution designs that align with architecture governance processes, architectural strategy and business requirements.
• Experience of Microsoft Azure platform services, including the design of cloud-native business solutions, hybrid-cloud solutions and migration of solutions from on-premise environments to the cloud.
• Knowledge of architectural modelling tools and frameworks such as Sparx Enterprise Architect and TOGAF.
• Experience with technologies used across the organisation including Microsoft .NET, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Angular.
• Experience assiting technology modernisation and digital transformation initiatives.
• Experience working within regulated environments.
