Job summary

Grant Thornton Ireland is seeking a Senior Accountant to support high-quality financial reporting, month-end close, and accounting operations for an international client portfolio. You will oversee key processes, review information from multiple sources, and mentor junior team members in a fast-paced BPO environment.

The role involves working with ERP platforms such as NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP and Oracle, performing variance analysis, and supporting finance transformation

Qualifications

• ACA / ACCA qualified with ~3–5 years post-qualification experience in financial reporting or RTR.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge with month-end close and financial reporting experience.
• Experience reviewing complex reconciliations across multiple entities.
• Advanced Excel and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.
• Experience supervising or mentoring junior team members.
• Experience with ERP platforms such as NetSuite, Dynamics 365, SAP, Oracle or similar.
• Exposure to ERP implementation, migration, or finance transformation projects.
• Experience with BlackLine or similar reconciliation tools.
• Experience in shared services, outsourced finance, or BPO environments.
• Experience supporting multinational clients across jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve month-end journal entries including accruals, prepayments, payroll, and intercompany transactions.
• Review fixed asset subledger reconciliations to the GL.
• Review bank reconciliations including FX postings for multi-currency.
• Oversee reconciliations for leases, deferred revenue, inventory valuation and share-based compensation.
• Perform balance sheet and P&L variance analyses and identify risks and adjustments.
• Support preparation and review of financial statements and management reports.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and statutory reporting requirements.
• Loster liaise between operational teams, clients, and senior management.
• Support ERP implementations and finance transformation projects.
