Job summary

Grant Thornton Ireland is hiring a Senior Accountant to support high-quality financial reporting, month-end close, and accounting operations for international clients. You will work with complex multinational organisations, liaising with internal and client stakeholders in a fast-paced BPO environment.

The role emphasizes technical accounting, compliance with controls, and opportunities to drive process improvements across ERP platforms and reporting cycles.

Qualifications

• ACA / ACCA qualified with 3–5 years post-qualification experience in financial reporting, RTR, or accounting operations.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge with experience in month-end close and financial reporting processes.
• Experience reviewing complex reconciliations across multiple entities.
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent Excel and analytical skills; strong communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve month-end journal entries, including accruals and intercompany transactions.
• Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules.
• Review bank reconciliations and multi-currency postings.
• Support preparation of financial statements and management reporting packs.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and ERP enhancements.
