Job summary

Grant Thornton Ireland is seeking a Senior - Financial Services Tax to join our growing tax team. You will deliver tax compliance and advisory services for a diverse portfolio of domestic and international financial services clients, working closely with Managers to drive quality outcomes.

You will build and maintain client relationships, research Irish tax legislation, prepare income and corporation tax returns, and contribute to the development of technical expertise within the team while

Qualifications

• AITI/CTA qualified, with 1+ years' post-qualification experience in a tax practice environment.
• Strong knowledge of Irish tax legislation, with experience in tax compliance; financial services tax experience is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong client and team relationships.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a commitment to continuous learning and developing a career in professional services.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of tax compliance and advisory services for a portfolio of financial services clients, ensuring work is completed accurately and on time.
• Prepare and review income and corporation tax returns in accordance with Irish tax legislation and company law requirements.
• Research technical tax matters, identify tax planning opportunities, and assist in developing practical solutions for clients.
• Build strong client relationships by responding to day-to-day queries and providing timely, high-quality service.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the team, sharing knowledge and contributing to the successful delivery of client engagements.
