Job summary

Sony Interactive Entertainment in Dublin is seeking an experienced software engineer to design, develop, and maintain client‑side SDKs, middleware, and system software using C/C++. You will work closely with Product Managers and global teams to deliver scalable platform features.

As an early member of the team, you’ll shaping engineering practices, contribute to API design, and help drive quality, performance, and reliability across PlayStation experiences used by millions of players worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in CS/Software Engineering.
• 3+ years of professional experience in production software using C/C++.
• Experience developing SDKs, frameworks, middleware, or client applications.
• Strong OO design, APIs, and software engineering practices.
• Experience with client/server architectures, networking, distributed systems.
• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work across cross-functional teams and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain client-side SDKs, middleware, and system software primarily using C/C++.
• Contribute to design and implementation of SDK and platform capabilities.
• Develop clean, well-documented APIs to improve developer experience and integration.
• Translate product requirements into technical designs and tasks.
• Own features from implementation through delivery with focus on quality.
