Spencer Recruitment is hiring on behalf of our client, a destination management company, for a Sales & Marketing Manager.
This is an opportunity to join a collaborative team in the destination management sector, combining client relationship management, bespoke proposals and creative marketing activity.
The Role
With a focus on sales (70%) and marketing (30%), you will help drive business growth, develop tailored proposals and support engaging marketing campaigns. You will work closely with clients, suppliers and colleagues to create memorable experiences and contribute to sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed, bespoke proposals that reflect clients’ needs and objectives.
- Prepare accurate budgets to accompany client proposals.
- Plan and coordinate site inspections and familiarisation (FAM) trips, including travel, accommodation, transport and event logistics.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the main point of contact for prospective clients.
- Negotiate with suppliers and partners to achieve the best outcomes for clients and the business.
- Maintain accurate client information and sales activity in HubSpot.
- Stay informed about destination offerings, products and services to strengthen proposals and recommendations.
- Represent the business at trade shows as required.
- Work with local representatives to attend in-market sales calls and roadshows.
Marketing
- Support the weekly management of Instagram and LinkedIn, including scheduling posts and monitoring engagement.
- Help create graphics, copy and videos for social media and marketing materials.
- Assist with the planning, execution and tracking of marketing campaigns.
- Monitor campaign and social media performance, recommending ways to improve engagement and reach.
- Keep up to date with digital marketing trends, social media tools and competitor activity.
About You
- At least 3 years’ experience in sales and marketing, customer service or operations, preferably within destination management or the travel industry.
- Strong client relationship skills and a customer-focused approach.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Confident preparing proposals, working with budgets and coordinating logistics.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with CRM systems; HubSpot experience would be an advantage.
- A good understanding of social media platforms, particularly Instagram and LinkedIn.
- Basic Canva design skills and experience with Constant Contact or Mailchimp would be an advantage.
- Adaptable and comfortable working under pressure to meet changing client needs.
- A positive, proactive approach and a collaborative working style.
- A degree in Business, Hospitality, Tourism or a related field is preferred.
