Job summary

Talent Guardian is recruiting on behalf of a north Dublin manufacturer and distributor to hire a Sales Executive for trailers and construction machinery. The role is to own inquiries, prospect new customers, and guide builds from specification to order.

Based in Dublin, you will work five days in the office initially with limited travel, progressing to a flexible arrangement as the portfolio grows. A genuine mechanical interest and consultative selling approach are essential.

Qualifications

• A genuine interest in machines; a mechanical background, engineering study or hands-on equipment experience counts for more than a polished sales CV.
• Technical nous; comfortable discussing specifications rather than working from a script.
• Driven early in your career; happy to pick up the phone to someone who is not expecting your call.
• Consultative and professional approach; these are purchases, not a hard sell.

Responsibilities

• Own the inbound enquiries from paid search, the websites and social channels, and follow each one through to order.
• Prospect outbound by phone and email into coffee shops, restaurants and start-up food concepts, universities, stadiums, shopping centres, and mobile operators.
• Specify and quote builds with the technical team, covering layout, equipment, weights and compliance.
• Upsell within the trailer range and cross-sell machinery, supporting the rental side alongside new and used sales.
• Represent the business at UK and European trade and consumer shows, including the National Ploughing Championships.

Sales Executive – Trailers and Machinery

Location: Dublin

Are you mechanically minded, driven, and looking for a sales career where the product is genuinely worth talking about?

Talent Guardian is recruiting on behalf of a manufacturer and distributor based in north Dublin. Our client builds premium stainless steel catering trailers for coffee, street food, event and bar businesses, supplied across Ireland and Europe, and sells construction machinery and plant into the same market from the same site.

This is the first dedicated sales hire across the two ranges. The marketing spend, the websites and the enquiries are already there. What is missing is someone to own them, work the phone, and turn interest into orders before the season picks up in February.

The role

What is on offer

A competitive base salary plus commission on revenue, with outbound business rewarded at double the inbound rate and no threshold in year one. Five days a week in the office to begin with, moving to a flexible arrangement once established. Travel is limited and always alongside the technical team.

You will learn the trailer range first, then take on the construction machinery range as the role grows.
