Description

The Sales Engineer is a self-led role that leads the day-to-day sales engineering operation for its region. Working as a technical subject matter expert alongside Sales, you'll contribute directly to new business development and lead cross-functional campaigns to identify, launch, and service new lines of service. The role suits someone from a professional services background who can operate autonomously across time zones and turn technical and regulatory expertise into pipeline. You'll be part of Sensiba's growing international Customer Success & Sales Engineering team, working directly with the Global Manager, Sales Engineering, and alongside Sales, Customer Success, Audit Delivery, and Revenue Operations. While you'll own your region day to day, you'll have a clear escalation and support path through the Global Manager and a peer Sales Engineers in the other regions.

Key Responsibilities
Pre-Sales & New Business Development
  • Act as the technical subject matter expert for Sales across the pre-sales cycle, supporting discovery and scoping calls, presenting service walkthroughs, and shaping solutions for prospective clients.
  • Scope engagements and provide input to proposals and pricing for compliance and assurance work, including SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, and GDPR.
  • Work on enterprise level deals within the region to drive new business growth, in conjunction with the sales team.
  • Build and maintain a prospect and partner pipeline, and help shape regional go-to-market priorities.
  • Act as a client-facing technical presence for the firm, representing its expertise in GRC and compliance frameworks.
Campaigns & Growth Initiatives
  • Lead and launch campaigns with cross-functional teams (Sales, Delivery, Audit, and Marketing) to identify and service new lines of service.
  • Contribute to firm-wide initiatives aimed at driving new business growth across the different service areas.
  • Support thought leadership such as webinars, events, and content, and enable Sales and Delivery teams on new service lines.
  • Drive the creation of sales materials, including video walkthroughs and written guides, to support our go-to-market teams.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to Marketing and work with audit delivery leads to source examples and case studies.
Regional Operations & Reporting
  • Act as the main Sales Engineering point of contact for Sales with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Partner with Customer Success, Revenue Operations, and Finance to support pipeline visibility and forecasting.
  • Feed regional market and client insights back to the Global Manager to inform service development.
  • Report regularly on pipeline contribution, campaign performance, and regional activity.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Essential
  • 3+ years’ experience (ideally 4+) in a Sales Engineering or similar technical pre-sales, solutions, or client-facing role.
  • Demonstrated ability to support Sales as a technical subject matter expert and contribute to new business wins.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and take ownership of a region or portfolio with minimal oversight.
  • Experience launching or contributing to campaigns or initiatives with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with comfort engaging prospective clients at senior level.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce and sales tooling (e.g. HubSpot, proposal tools such as Qwilr, Monday.com).
  • Bachelor’s degree required, ideally in a technical or business discipline.
  • Consultative and commercially minded, able to turn technical depth into a clear client story.
  • Self-directed and accountable, comfortable owning a region without close supervision.
  • Curious and structured, with a bias for launching new initiatives and learning from results.
  • Collaborative across Sales, Delivery, and Operations, and open about escalating when needed.
Desirable
  • Background in professional services (audit, advisory, accounting, or consulting).
  • Familiarity with GRC, compliance, or information security frameworks, ideally with a relevant certification (e.g. CISA, CISSP, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer or Auditor, CPA/ACCA).
