Job summary

Elite Talent Hub is recruiting on behalf of a client, an electrical contractor, for a Junior/Intermediate Health & Safety Advisor in Limerick. You will work with project management, supervisors and site teams to uphold safe practices and ensure compliance with company, client and statutory requirements.

This role suits someone with construction site experience who wants to grow within electrical contracting, delivering safety inductions, monitoring compliance, and supporting safety documentation

Qualifications

• A relevant qualification in Occupational Health & Safety or a related discipline.
• Previous health and safety experience within construction, ideally at junior or intermediate advisor level.
• Experience with an electrical or M&E contractor would be an advantage.
• Working knowledge of Irish construction safety requirements.
• Familiarity with site inspections, RAMS, inductions and contractor documentation.
• A practical approach and confidence engaging with site teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Valid Safe Pass and full driving licence.
• First Aid, manual handling instructor or other relevant safety training would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carry out regular site inspections, identify hazards and follow corrective actions through to completion.
• Support the preparation and review of risk assessments, method statements and project safety documentation.
• Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks and safety briefings.
• Monitor subcontractor compliance, including training records and task-specific documentation.
• Support incident and near-miss investigations, reporting and corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate inspection records, training registers and safety reports.
• Assist with monitoring permits, PPE, access arrangements and emergency procedures.
• Attend site coordination meetings and provide practical safety guidance to supervisors and operatives.
• Promote hazard reporting, workforce engagement and continuous improvement.
• Support environmental controls, including waste management and spill prevention.
